Monday 8th February to Friday 14th February is National Apprenticeship Week 2021. The annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, taking place across England, will showcase how apprenticeships have helped employers and people of all ages and backgrounds.

Announcing the date for the Week in 2021, Apprenticeships and Skills Minister, Gillian Keegan, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is a great chance to highlight the amazing opportunities that an apprenticeship brings to employers, individuals and the economy."

As a school, in support of National Apprenticeship Week we want to share with you some of the opportunities that students can sign up to find out more about all levels and types of apprenticeships and their benefits. In addition, we have compiled a list of events that are scheduled to happen during National Apprenticeship Week, some of which involve employers and businesses in our local area. We would encourage you and your child to read the attached information to ensure that they are fully researching potential future pathways.

You can down load some useful documents below:

  • Factsheet on types and levels of apprenticeships - you will notice that most apprenticeship opportunities require a further level of study after GCSEs (such as A Levels).
  • Schedule of events happening in National Apprenticeship Week.
  • PowerPoint detailing apprenticeship opportunities in Nursing from Wolverhampton University.

If you have any queries about National Apprenticeships Week, Careers or opportunities within our Sixth Form (that may feed into some of the higher apprenticeships), please do not hesitate to contact Miss J Boulton - Assistant Headteacher by email: (jboulton@congletonhigh.com) or Mrs Sadat-Shafai - Work Placement Coordinator (jsadatshafai@congletonhigh.com)
