September 2022 Transition
We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to CHS on Monday 5th September 2022.
Throughout May, Deputy Headteacher, Mrs Darling and our Pastoral Support Lead, Miss Franks, (see below) will be visiting all our new starters in their primary schools. They'll talk with you in groups and individually to answer any questions you have and, very importantly, find out more about you, your likes and dislikes and your friendship groups. They'll then use this information to help put you all in to Year 7 tutor groups, containing some of your primary school friends, when you start in September.
We will hold our 2022 New Intake Discovery Days on Thursday 30th June and Friday 1st July, when all the Year 6 pupils who have accepted a place at our school will be invited to spend two days with us here, meet their Form Tutors and take part in a variety of lessons and activities. We will also hold a New Intake Information Evening for Parents and Carers from 6:00pm on Thursday 30th June, which will include a short presentation and an introduction to form tutors.
For more information on the Transition Discovery Days and our Parents/Carers Information Evening, please refer to the letter which is given to Year 6 students during our New Intake Primary School visits in May (this will also be available in the downloads below), or contact Miss Franks via the School Office or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We have put together a series of short films to help you familiarise yourself with Congleton High School and get a real flavour of what will be on offer when you start with us in September. At the end of each film, Year 7 students talk about their own thoughts and experiences as new starters and throughout their first year as part of our school community. (Click below to play each film.)

- CHS Tour Part 2 - Sport at CHS
- CHS Tour Part 3 - Our facilities (LRC, Art, Performing Arts and Science)

CHS Uniform Requirements
Parents and carers will now be starting to think about uniform. All of our uniform can be purchased from DP Sportswear on Bromley Road, Congleton (You can find their full address and opening hours in the DP Sportswear Information document below). Our Uniform List, Uniform Guidance and a DP Sportswear Price List are also available below or on the School Uniform page in the Parent/Carer Area of this website.
DP Sportswear have also put together a helpful short video on the CHS Girls' and Boys' uniform and PE kit, and you can watch this here.
Parents or carers who may be struggling to cover the cost of uniform can apply to the John Holford Charity for assistance and you can find out more information on eligibility and how to apply here.
