Mr Holmes and the Science Team at CHS are challenging our new September Year 7 (current Year 6) to take part in a big summer bug hunt, to investigate where bugs are found in their local area/garden, make their own bug traps and log all the different sorts of creatures they find.

The Science Team are also asking the new Year 7 students to take photos of their traps and the bugs they have managed to catch and put together a short report or produce a poster of the results and email these to the Team by Sunday 15th August.

The idea behind the challenge is to help children develop their investigation and data collecting skills while giving them something fun to do and encouraging them to be outdoors over the summer holidays.

All the details and lots of advice and information can be found in the Powerpoint presentation and the helpful guides below:

Good luck and we look forward to reading all your reports and seeing lots of fabulous photos of minibeasts.
