What a truly phenomenal evening our Christmas Show case was! With over 120 students involved, we showcased talent from across the year groups, with students from Dance lessons, Drama Club, Dance Troupe, Guitar group, Vocal group as well as solos and duets from students who put themselves forward for the challenge.

We were thrilled with the news that, after selling 300 tickets to family and friends of our community, the Showcase was sold out, which created a fantastic atmosphere in the school hall. Students worked tirelessly, after school and most lunchtimes, to perfect the variety of acts that filled the bill on the night. Our Head of Performing Arts, Mrs Mackreth, was hugely thankful for our back stagers, Katie M and Charley L, who were keen to help with sorting the backstage wings, as well as Jacob D in Year 8 whose expertise on the lights has ensured he now has a permanent position as lighting technician for every event!

Special thanks to the Performing Arts staff for all the time they have given up to support the students and also for all their creative ideas. Thank you to the extra teaching staff, who willingly gave up their time to help chaperone the students backstage. A huge thank you goes to all the students involved and the families who have supported them in anyway they could, be it with pick-ups from rehearsals, costumes or line learning, to allow them to shine in such a fantastic way - making memories to last a lifetime.
