Congratulations to Year 13 student, Matthew Needham, who has recently started a Work Placement with the East Cheshire NHS Trust, earning him the title of their 100th work experience student!
Matthew started his placement at the end of October and is working with the Radiology Team, which he hopes will give him a good background for his future career aspirations. He was awarded a certificate to mark the occasion of becoming the 100th student to and was also featured in the Trust's newsletter
Work Placement Coordinator, Mrs Sadat-Shafai commented:
"We were delighted to hear of Matthew's landmark placing in the NHS's work experience programme and that he has settled in to his placement so well. As a school, we aim to find appropriate placements for all our students to ensure that they are able to build up a good level of appropriate work and industry sector skills that will help to give them a real head start in whatever they choose to do when they leave us.
"I liaise with many local and national businesses across a wide range of sectors to help create work placement opportunities. I am always keen to hear from employers who would be willing to offer work experience for our students."
Matthew is currently studying A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at Congleton High School. He also undertook a placement this summer in the Staffordshire University Department of Engineering, working on a project investigating the 'Fabrication of a Polymeric Solar Cell.'
