Our Science team are challenging Key Stage Three students to team up with their family to discover more about Biomimicry - how designers copy nature - and be in with a chance of winning £20 of Amazon vouchers.
Running from 3rd October to 5th November, the Science team are asking students to team up with a parent, carer or sibling to research an example (or examples) of the way that nature has influenced modern technology. There is no shortage of examples, with building engineers, vehicle manufacturers and product designers more often than not turning to the natural world for inspiration and guidance.
Once the research is completed, the students and their team member will need to display all the information they have gathered on a poster and then take a photograph of them both holding this.
The photograph can then be posted, using the hashtag #CHSSci, on CHS' Facebook page (Congleton High School) or Twitter (CongletonHS) or, alternatively, emailed to: scicomps@congletonhigh.com
The closing date for the competition is Thursday 5th November and all entries must be received by this date to be included.
In addition to the chance of winning £20 of Amazon vouchers, the best work will be displayed in the Science area.
See Mr Holmes if you have any questions.
