Following on from our Careers Fair earlier in the week and rounding off British Science Week at CHS, we welcomed a group of speakers from the world of Science in to school in March to inform and inspire our Year 9 students about the many careers opened up by studying Science.

The group comprised:

  •  Chris Hughes-Ricardo - consultant in Environmental Hazards
  •  Stephen Lynch - MMU lecturer and inventor in Mathematics
  •  Lis Morris - Reaseheath lecturer and researcher
  •  Cath Carter - Astra Zeneca associate director for Global Engineering
  •  Matt Harrison - GSK VP and head, Vaccine Projects and Digital Sciences

They each spoke about their own career path and what they do in their current roles, highlighting the diversity of Science careers and the routes in to them. Thank you to our five speakers for spending time with our students.
