Congratulations to our Year 11 Performing Arts student, Grace R, who auditioned and successfully secured a place on the British Youth Music Theatre Programme earlier this year.

Grace spent two weeks as a boarder, working 9am-9pm every day to be cast, then learn and rehearse a bespoke musical - Hot Wheels - then perform it to an audience.

Grace said the two weeks were exhausting but such a worthwhile experience to get a taste for working in the musical theatre industry.

British Youth Music Theatre is a national performing arts education charity that specialises in creating brand new music theatre. The organisation works across the UK and Ireland with leading industry professionals to offer unique opportunities and high-quality training to young singers, actors, dancers and musicians as well as emerging artists and stage technicians.

If you are interested in taking part, the British Youth Music Theatre audition three times a year, one with just girls, one with just boys and one mixed. All information can be found at: https://britishyouthmusictheatre.org
