Thirty-five of our Year 7 students have attended a series of six after-school High Achievers sessions over the course of the Summer term. The sessions gave students the opportunity to study subjects and topics they do not normally get to study, including some subjects taught at A Level.

The sessions covered Critical Thinking, Politics, Biology, Psychology, Classics, Linguistics and Sociology and the students explored questions such as: Does society influence our behaviour?; Do we all speak the same English?; How does the Ancient World influence literature?; and Where do woodlice like to live?

Participating student, Isabelle P, commented: “I enjoyed working with different people and everything was new and exciting.” whilst Rufus I said: “I liked learning new stuff that I wouldn't learn in class.
