We held our annual Year 11 Mock Interview event in October. Students had crafted a CV and covering letter before the event and were then interviewed by one of twenty five employers and other volunteer professionals including our Chair of Governors.

Once again we were delighted to welcome back a number of former students as interviewers including Katie Nuttall from Majestical, Josh Pearson from Reliance Medical, Melanie Ashun from Bentley and Jake Pear from the Lion and Swan Hotel.

This event always proves very successful and really helps students to prepare themselves for employment, apprenticeship and higher education interviews.

Students' feedback after the event really showed how they had taken it seriously and had valued the opportunity:

"It was really good. It taught me how to give better answers to questions and helped me with my confidence."

"It was a really good experience and helped me to raise my confidence."

"I was given some good criticism and it helped me clear up my goals."

"A phenomenal experience. It helped me expand my CV."

"It was an eye-opening and very useful experience."

"It was interesting and I learned a lot. I spoke with the Policeman and it made me consider investigating the job further."

"It made me so confident for the future. Thank you so much for the opportunity."

"The interviewer gave me good feedback and asked how I would perform in different situations."
