Encouraging a Love of Reading

Valentine's Day gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate our love of books in the LRC. Students were encouraged to read more widely by taking part in a 'Blind Date with a Book,' choosing their new read with only a hint of what lay beneath the wrapping paper!

Students also had the opportunity to fill in a 'A book I love is...' card to introduce and recommend their favourite book to others. All the entries went into a Valentine's Day draw, and Year 7 Danielle C was the lucky winner of a book of her choice and chocolate.
