Our Year 12 Biologists visited Chester Zoo in February to support their understanding of Biodiversity and Conservation. The group received a walking tour and workshop about the conservation efforts of the Zoo for animals from South East Asia, including tigers, sun bears and some amazing tortoises. These are all at risk due to deforestation for palm oil production, the illegal pet trade and for traditional medicinal products.

The information they gathered will give students some real-life examples to discuss in their exam answers.
