In their RE lessons, Year 7 students took part in a Fairtrade Trading trainers game in March, where they worked in teams to 'make trainers', sell them and try to make money.
The aim of the game is to get students to understand how trade in some countries can be set up to work unfairly for the workers. Student considered the importance of knowing about the source of the products they buy, how trade works, poverty and human rights. They also got to work in teams and had to focus on their communication and organisation skills.
