Keen to pursue a career in Social Work, Year 14 student, Tanya Knusel accompanied our Work Placement Coordinator, Mrs Sadat-Shafai, to a Chamber of Commerce Thursday Thirty information and networking event in January. The meeting was held at held at the Congleton base of charity, Visyon. Visyon is a charity organisation supporting the emotional health of children, young people and their families in the Cheshire and Staffordshire Moorlands area.

Tanya was keen to learn more about the work of the charity and also meet with others involved in the sector to learn more about the range of careers available and the routes into these. She found the opportunity to be extremely fruitful and came away from the meeting having learned a great deal and with various offers for work placements.

Mrs Sadat-Shafai works with local training providers and local, regional and national businesses to create a range of work experience, work skills and networking opportunities. This programme of activities enables our students to acquire a wide range of experience, skills to equip them with the attributes required by employers. This helps to secure positive outcomes for our students when they leave Congleton High School.
