Award Winning Author Visit

On Monday 26th June, we’ll welcome award-winning author, Matt Oldfield, in to school. Visits by inspiring, professional authors give students the opportunity to engage with reading and writing outside of a classroom environment.

Matt is the co-author of the Ultimate Football Heroes series, the Johnny Ball: Football Genius series, and Unbelievable Football (winner of the 2020 Children’s Sports Book of the Year).

Along with a one-hour assembly and writing workshops with him, Year 7 and Year 8 students will also have the opportunity to meet the author in the LRC during break and lunch, where they can buy one of his signed books. If your child would like a book, please send them in with £5 cash on the day.
