The last day of term was a day of togetherness and celebration for everyone at CHS and, despite an early lunch and finish, we still managed to squeeze in so much!.

Key Stage 3 students enjoyed a wonderful Christmas service at Astbury St Mary's Church, with readings delivered by the vicar and Ms Thurland. They also enjoyed some fabulous musical performances from our school choir and many of our talented solo vocalists.

Throughout the morning, all students enjoyed a quiz and were were able to visit our Year 10 Christmas Market, which was selling a range of Christmas themed food and treats in aid of The georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation.

Our Sixth Form students visited our Box Lane area neighbours to wish them all a very Happy Christmas, thank them for their support throughout the year and present them with a small gift and also one of our winning Christmas card designs. We also had a number of Sixth Form Elves, who had the lovely task of delivering prizes to students who were lucky enough to win on our whole school Christmas Wheel of Fortune!

Of course the main attraction when we break up for Christmas is the staff video and Christmas 2023 was no exception, with a range of TikTok style performances from teaching staff from every faculty featuring a range of (ahem) skills, including singing, dancing, lip synching and more! The film included a hilarious bloopers reel at the end!
