A Fantastic Opportunity for our Year 10 Scientists

Thirty of our Year 10 Scientists travelled to Manchester for GCSE Science Live in January. The day involved guest speakers from different scientific fields discussing their research and how this applies to the GCSE content and the scientific world, both now and in the future.

There was also some really useful hints and tips from an examiner about how to best answer certain types of questions on the GCSE exam papers.

The students really enjoyed it and found it helpful for their exams. The highlight of the day was probably hearing award winning materials scientist, Dr Anna Ploszajski, talking about the Science behind her swimming the English Channel!
